| | And I thought the movie was supposed to be funny, with a little bit of romance, just like any other ordinary chick flick/romantic comedy movies. No doubt it was a little humorous and definitely with romance in it.. but most of it all.. it just made me shudder with disgust, squirming away half the time. And to think that the girls at my office, oh yes, the same bunch who adore Louis Vuitton and Guccis, like the movie.
Thank goodness I do not find joy and satisfaction as much in shopping. And thank goodness I didn't watch it at the cinemas. It would have been a completely waste of my $$. In fact, I think Legally Blond is even better. *rolls eyes*
I sometimes just can't believe how much these people love shopping and buying all the unnecessary material things when there are so much, much more to life. It's sickening enough to be stuck in that freezer chamber you call office, for over 10 hours, from monday - friday. And to be indoors again on the weekends..? To make things less pleasant, there are the ungracious and unruly shoppers/commuters you will definitely come across. They push and force their way into trains when its obviously packed already. They stop in the middle of a crowded walkway and interrupt your way abruptly. They carry huge bagful of shopping bags just to be constantly nudging at your hip irritatingly. Adn then they knock you aside just to rush to the escalators.
Civilization, I think not. It's an urban jungle out there where one have to fend for oneself. Watch out, or you may just get trampled on, or worse, missing out on the best discounts at the sales..?
P/S: On a side note, if governments and environmentalists are encouraging conserving energy/earth and saving gaia, why the hell do they tune the air-cons in office buildings cold enough for penguins to live in..?! It just doesn't make sense.
